Job Purpose: 

 

Define the architecture and build the Data Lake, Data Warehouse & BI Platform

 

 

Key Objectives: 

 

 

  • Gather, clean, and analyse key business and technology data using tools and data models to help visualize and construct reports.
  • Work closely with Data architects to build the right data architecture and pipelines.
  • Finding patterns or seeing areas in the data that signal a potential for improvement in business practices.

 

 

Main accountabilities: 

 

 

  • Helping build the right BI/DWH solutions and frameworks in line with the business needs.
  • Developing and managing business intelligence solutions for the Financial Services organization.
  • Creating reports for C-Suite, growth, product and market teams.
  • Collaborating with team members for the purpose of collecting data and executing the company’s mission.
  • Analyzing business requirements and processes and recommending them to the management and executives for implementation.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for the organization.
  • Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability.

 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, statistics, business studies, or related field.
  • At least 5 years proven experience with programming for data analysis and business intelligence.
  • Firm understanding of statistics and databases.
  • Expert problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 

 

Functional Skills and Abilities: 

 

  • SQL, Amazon RDS/Redshift, Google Big Query etc.
  • Experience working with statistical, analytical and visualization software such as R, Microstrategy, Tableau, Power BI, Excel etc.
