Job Purpose: 


Define the architecture and build the Data Lake, Data Warehouse & BI Platform to enable clean data pipelines


Key Objectives: 


  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the data lake and data warehouse for the Financial Service business
  •  Coordinate with various stakeholder, executives and business users to build the necessary data requirements, and create unique data infrastructure, isolate errors and update systems to accommodate changes for the business needs
  • The candidate should be able to analyse raw data, develop and maintain datasets, and improve overall data quality and efficiency



Main accountabilities: 


  • Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines and builds out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity. Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements for the DFS business
  • Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
  • Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using prominent Cloud and SQL technologies
  • Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition
  • Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization
  • Work with partners and software engineers to enable the DWH/BI solution across the business




  • Bachelor's degree in data engineering, big data analytics, computer engineering, or related field. Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

  • At least 5 years’ proven experience as a data engineer, software developer, or similar


Functional Skills and Abilities: 


  • SQL, Amazon RDS/Redshift, Google Big Query etc.
  • Experience working with Cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure and Google
  • Experienced in working on visualization software such as Tableau or Microstrategy
