Job Description

FP&A Manager


The primary objective of the job:

Group FP&A department is a high-performance team operating and providing support across the Digicel Group.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Reporting, the FP&A Manager will deliver robust and detailed strategic reporting and analysis for the Group CFO including quarterly Investor outputs, monthly CFO business performance reports,  Board reports, FX modelling and reporting, ad hoc financial analysis to support senior management decision making, and special projects; utilizing financial planning and forecasting tools and models.

Purpose of the Job:

High visibility role providing high-quality business partnering to Senior financial leadership throughout the Group and through a good understanding of the systems and functional processes play a key role in driving effective business decision making working collaboratively as part of the Group FP&A team.

Provide guidance to the markets and other operating business units to ensure standardization and consistency across markets and business units.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the end to end management reporting processes related to key aspects of the P&L (e.g. Revenue and Costs) including business analysis, collating reports, reviewing, understanding and translating information provided by markets into clear, concise, insightful and value-added commentaries.
  • Ownership of finance models for forward planning and reporting, including direct responsibility for performing and delivering models; updating as required based on local and Group reporting needs inclusive of controls for validation by internal/external audit.
  • Deliver high-quality professional CFO business reports, Board reports and presentations with solid and appropriate analysis, KPIs and commentary to support senior management’s decision making, in an efficient, timely and highly accurate manner.
  • Ability to identify potential opportunities, whilst improving reporting allowing senior management to make data-driven decisions.
  • Review market inputs and the reasons for gathering movements/variances, questioning and providing a skeptical outlook.
  • Lead, challenge and support strategic initiatives.
  • Analyse and critique business plans, considering external influences (competitor activity and market economic conditions).
  • Manage the consolidation of financial and non-financial KPIs, metrics, reports and other inputs from the business ensuring relevant analysis is undertaken and relevant insights identified.
  • Leveraging functional and leadership skills to deliver continuous improvements in the financial processes, financial systems, FP&A department and other departments across the organisation.
  • Support and implement improvements in the financial controls & policies across the areas of responsibility. Prepare, maintain and effectively communicate related documentation such as Accounting Policies and Master Mappings to keep the business informed, aligned and continuously updated.


Academic qualifications and experience required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounts, Economics, Banking Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years management accounting and/or reporting experience
  • ACCA certification is preferred
  • Highly Advanced Excel Modelling, PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Advanced use of financial systems (e.g. Oracle, Workday, SAP)

Job Description:

FP&A Manager International Business

Primary objective of the job:

  • Reporting to the CFO, this role will lead all forecasting and budgetary processes. He/she will manage the financial planning and analysis to support decision making in all International Business areas.
  • Development and evaluation of key business strategies.
  • Challenge and support strategic and commercial initiatives.
  • Analyze and critique business plans, considering external influences (portfolio, competitor activity etc.)
  • Provide accurate and timely analysis of all financial planning, financial reporting, budget and forecasting.
  • To assist with providing in-depth analysis on strategic business decisions.
  • To provide support on Key Performance Indicators and revenue reporting highlighting any anomalies, including daily reporting of it.
  • Establish a good working relationship with the CFO and CEO (as well as market finance teams)


Main Duties and Responsibilities:            

  • Own the budget P&L, Balance sheet and cash-flow process for the vertical International Business from start to finish including collation of reports, analysis, and reviewing information collated in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Creation of the monthly forecast P&L and cash flow and regular monitoring of the key revenue generating initiatives.
  • Own the Monthly flash submission, support, and review with CFO on month end close.
  • Produce monthly Board report and Board Presentations for all Finance related inputs, accurate and timely preparation of commentary on Board reports as well as Board presentations.
  • Own and manage the daily / weekly flash and daily KPI reporting process for the Business for discussion with the leadership team (when necessary)
  • Support the business with in-depth analyses that translates data into actionable insight.
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue and cost.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance. 
  • Assist in the provision of high quality financial and commercial data to support the Commercial Team.
  • Assist with financial modeling, analysis, forecasting, pricing and reporting for all new and existing projects.
  • Assist/Support with month & year-end process as appropriate to enable deadlines to be met (e.g. monthly forecast) for the financial/ statutory reporting process.
  • Assist with recommending, implementing and maintaining general process improvements within the department
  • Ad hoc reporting analysis and special project work as required.
  • Work alongside the CFO and International Business Market Leadership team to define and deliver information requirements to manage market performance
  • Work with Commercial/ Customer Value Team(s) to validate commercial initiatives and pricing implications
  • Ownership of the finance models for forecasting and reporting with technical updates as required based on local and group reporting needs including controls for validation by internal/ external audit.
  • Be proactive in suggesting analysis that will benefit understanding of the financial performance and proactively suggest improvements to the process/ models.
  • Develop and consistently improve data quality of our modelling for the regular monitoring of performance and reforecasting. 
  • Working with the SSC team and create an efficient work environment.
  • Own competitor analysis and report on market share and market share movements to CFO and CEO where required.
  • Liaise with CEO and Financial Controller on the Financial Reporting function to ensure monthly/quarterly/ yearly financials are in line with expectations.


Number of persons managed/supervised and their positions:

  • 1-3 people, financial analysts


Academic qualifications and experience required for job (Minimum)

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance and or/ACCA Level ll
  • 3 -5  year(s) experience in a similar capacity
  • Advanced Excel/ Modelling skills


Functional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - with Advanced Excel/ Modelling skills
  • Highly analytical with strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Work independently, multi-task
  • Knowledge of Workday and Oracle an advantage
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meets very stringent deadlines


Key Performance Indicators:

  • Budgets and forecasts are completed to deadline
  • Operational review packs are completed to deadline
  • Board reports and Board presentations are completed and reviewed with CFO and CEO
  • KPI’s of the company’s operation are prepared as required
  • Adhoc analysis delivered in a timely manner
  • P&L’s monthly are reconciled and validated with the financial accounts within the timelines as required
  • Support month end closing process in all aspect when needed
  • Complete costs analysis and review in conjunction with the Finance reporting team.  Analysis and review with CFO and or CEO
