Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis-Commercial Manager
Job Overview:
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for Consumer Commercial operations, across all business units (mobile and FTTH), ultimately ensuring first class customer experience and achievement of targets in respect of customers, Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) and revenue
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development and execution of commercial strategy for all product sets across all channels.
- In conjunction with Group/Central Regional teams as appropriate, commercial product development, including pricing and go-to-market planning and execution
- Ownership of product catalogues, with appropriate records for propositions in line with required standards
- Customer base management, including analysis and interpretation of data to determine appropriate courses of action in respect of short term and long term ATL and BTL propositions and promotions, executing initiatives accordingly to optimize product penetration, retention and revenue
- Analysis and interpretation of Business Intelligence data to evaluate business performance to granular level and determine relevant courses of action
- Ultimately achieve required budgets/targets in respect of subscriber bases, retention, usage KPIs, ARPU and revenues
- Actively engage with Marketing, Operations and Customer Care teams to ensure effective deployment and integration of commercial initiatives
- Monitor competitor and industry activities and trends, determining and executing on appropriate actions to harness opportunity and protect against competitive threats
- Manage costs within both budget and appropriate/acceptable levels
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting on commercial KPIs, operations and activities, plus other reporting as required
Retail
- Sales channel and distribution channel development, including pricing and commercial relationships
- Management of owned and partner-operated retail channels, ensuring best in class environment and customer experience is delivered and ultimately achieving required standards in retail audits as well as commercial targets
- Leadership role in developing retail sales, including people development and incentivization, store optimization, operations and processes
- Management of other sales channels, including tele sales teams, including training and efficiency/performance monitoring
Devices
- Management of device portfolio and stock, ensuring portfolio is appropriate and optimum for the market, devices are appropriately priced, stock levels are maintained, aged stock exposure is minimized, and SAC budget is used effectively
Recharge
- Management of recharge and device distributor contracts and relationships, ensuring company objectives are delivered
- Management of recharge outlet and dealer retail footprints, ensuring outlets are presented and operated to the required standard, dealer partners are supported with requisite expertise and guidance and all outlets hold required stock levels, taking quick corrective action in the case of any non-conformance
Academic qualifications and experience required for job (Minimum
- Degree level qualification in directly related subjects
- At least 5 years directly related working experience in competitive commercial environments, of which a minimum of 2 years in telecommunications commercial roles
Functional Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership and working as part of team
- Ability to handle and deliver on multiple priorities from multiple stakeholders in high pressure environment
- Competency with Microsoft Word applications – minimum Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Competency with interpreting trends from various data sets
- Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
