DIGICEL ST. KITTS and Nevis – Retail and Distribution Executive

Digicel is seeking a suitable candidate with experience who thrives in fast paced, dynamic and innovative environment to fill the role of Retail and Distribution Executive. Primary Objective:

 

To provide first level of customer service and sales within the Vendor and Retail channels in St Kitts & Nevis. Ensure the Distribution Department meets sales quotas based on recharge and sim sales targets. Increase recharge, sim footprint and sales volume across the market. Resolve vendor complaints, queries, and other issues and concerns received by the Distribution Department.  Service the Retail channel with inventory.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Achieve monthly sales targets by increasing recharge and sim footprint, sales volume and branding, ensuring Digicel has a maximum share of wallet.
  • Bi-weekly evaluation of recharge, sim and device levels for stock outage prevention.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of products and services
  • Weekly monitoring of Retail channel stock levels.
  • Work with existing teams to achieve department overall objectives.
  • Provide forecasting of handsets and stock volumes to manage sales resources and planning monthly.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for Retail Team Leads as it pertains to the ordering and transfer of inventory for the retail stores.
  • Communicate openly and provide regular updates to key stakeholders, core team members, peers and managers regarding inventory levels and recommendations to maintain adequate stock levels at all Retail store locations.
  • Maintain methods and procedures associated with end-to-end inventory management processes for the market.
  • Work with the Retail & Distribution Manager on inventory planning, inventory flow requirements, and contingency planning.
  • Monitor inventory movement closely to eliminate aged stock issues.
  • Perform continuous evaluation of competitors’ device offerings and Retail channel to ensure that we have the right devices to meet end users’ needs and demands, making recommendations for new model orders, re-orders, consolidations and returns.
  • Make recommendations to increase footprint, sales, and branding in the market where applicable, ensuring Digicel has a maximum share of the wallet.
  • Activate new accounts and update existing accounts for Recharge Vendors.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for top-up vendor(s), maintaining and developing relationships with existing vendors in person, via telephone and email.
  • Market new products, services and features to existing recharge vendors and potential vendors.
  • Pro-actively introduce and sell Distribution/Recharge products and services to maximize sales revenue, ensuring everything is done to close the sale, limiting discounts, and completing all necessary paperwork, following all relevant procedures and delivering a great service to the customer.
  • Ensure all vendor needs are met in due time and to the satisfaction of the vendor, our customers and the company.
  • Greeting and acknowledging all vendors to establish rapport, providing help and information to vendors as requested, and establishing vendor requirements to identify product and services that will meet their needs.
  • Maintaining a good level of product knowledge to explain the features and benefits of products and services to vendors to enable them to decide to purchase and promote.
  • Keeps current with products, promotions, procedures and applications used to resolve vendors’ queries and up-sell.
  • Take ownership of the vendor throughout both the sales and after sales process, providing ongoing information and resolution for vendor issues as necessary.
  • Manage the Repair GUI/process and repair center relations.
  • Monthly visits of recharge vendors assigned to conduct temperature checks.
  • Provide excellent customer service for queries and the efficient resolution of complaints, problems, and refunds within given guidelines, referring to further authority only if necessary.
  • Ensure all customer facing information (tickets, ePin, POS etc.) is accurate and up to date, to always maintain compliance with legislation taking personal responsibility for correcting any errors.
  • To provide support in other areas of the department as required, to deal with the needs of the vendors, customers, and the varying demands of business operation.
  • Ensure timely collections of recharge sales adhering to internal cash handling procedures and policies.

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience required for position:

 

  • 5 CXC Passes inclusive of Mathematics and English or equivalent 
  • Previous sales experience or relevant experience in similar role 
  • Proven sales track record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent Communication Skills (oral and written) 
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Driver’s License required
