Job Overview:
Strategically manage and optimize all retail, distribution, and vendor channels in St. Kitts & Nevis to maximize top-up sales and market share. Ensure operational efficiency across the retail footprint and maintain optimal inventory levels (handsets and recharge) to meet business demands.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage the cross-functional team responsible for Retail, Distribution, Warehouse, Vendor Recharge Sales, and Device/SIM Distribution.
- Track retail team performance against sales targets, provide constructive feedback, and report performance insights directly to the Commercial Manager.
- Partner with other distribution channel executives and Retail Team Leads to define and implement efficient sales processes.
Sales Performance & Reporting
- Analyze and evaluate daily performance reports (recharge, SIM, and device sales) to identify key trends and drive performance improvements.
- Monitor and address adverse impacts on daily sales metrics (e.g., handset sales, top-up rates, average revenue per vendor, stock-out percentage).
- Ensure daily reporting provides accurate metric attainment details and request the development of new reports to proactively capture emerging data trends.
Inventory & Product Management
- Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the end-to-end inventory management process within the market.
- Develop and provide accurate forecasting for handset and stock volumes to support sales resource management and strategic planning.
- Continuously evaluate competitors' device offerings and retail channels to ensure optimal device portfolio alignment with customer demand, providing recommendations for new orders, re-orders, consolidations, and returns.
- Recommend and forecast initial quantities and allocations for key strategic items and product launches.
- Collaborate with Group and local markets on inventory planning, ordering, flow requirements, and contingency planning.
Vendor & Channel Development
- Serve as the key relationship manager for top-up vendors, maintaining and developing strong partnerships through various communication channels (in-person, telephone, and email).
- Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for the Retail, Distribution & Vendor Channel team and vendor partners, covering onboarding and seasonal promotions.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of all products and services across the retail, distribution, and vendor channels.
Retail Operations & Infrastructure
- Oversee all retail operations for optimal shop floor functions.
- Coordinate with Group Retail/contractors for timely store design, upgrades, and necessary fixture maintenance.
Academic Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Business or Marketing related fields or equivalent work experience (5 years)
- Strong verbal, presentation, communication and analytical skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint;)
- Ability to work with all levels of management
