Job Title
General Manager
Primary objective of the job:
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for supporting the Regional CEO in the delivery of commercial, operational, and general management strategies within the market. The GM will work closely with both regional and Group teams to tailor and implement these strategies locally, providing robust leadership and proactive engagement with internal and external stakeholders. The primary objective is not only to meet, but to exceed, established targets, thereby ensuring strong market performance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of Digicel Group and regional commercial, operational, and general management strategies within the market. Liaise closely with the Regional CEO, Regional B2C Director, Regional Commercial Manager, Head of Mobile & D+, and Regional Head of DB.
- Assume P&L responsibility, ensuring the achievement of customer, revenue, and EBITDA targets as set by the Regional CEO across Consumer (Prepaid, Postpaid, Home Internet) and Business (Mobile, Fixed, and ICT) segments, in line with strategies approved by the Regional CEO and regional SMT.
- Provide strong leadership and strategic support to the local team, inspiring and guiding them to exceed business objectives.
- Execute high-quality, effective plans as authorised by the Regional CEO, ensuring alignment with both short- and long-term objectives of the Atlantic Region and Digicel Group as a whole.
- Collaborate with the regional SMT (Regional CEO, Regional B2C Director, Regional Commercial Manager, Head of Mobile & D+, Regional Head of DB, and Regional CFO) to prepare annual budgets and operational plans, ensuring consistency with Group and Regional objectives while accounting for local considerations.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including departmental heads, managers, directors, customers, business partners, distributors, suppliers, and governmental or regulatory bodies.
- Implement a comprehensive management framework to oversee all business functions, monitor KPIs, and conduct performance reviews in accordance with frameworks approved by the Regional CEO.
- Make recommendations for corrective actions to improve performance, seeking confirmation from the Group CEO prior to implementing such measures.
- Work in partnership with Group legal teams to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and internal policies, thereby safeguarding the company’s legal standing and upholding business ethics.
- Represent the company as required, attending key corporate events and public meetings. Ensure that concise, high-level reports regarding outcomes and key takeaways are prepared and submitted to the Regional CEO within 24 hours.
- Safeguard the company’s brand equity and public image, ensuring the maintenance of a positive reputation with consumers, the government, the wider business community, and other stakeholders.
- Work with the Regional CEO and Head of HR, Atlantic Region, to foster the development of the local team, motivating and engaging direct reports to enhance employee engagement and overall performance.
- Oversee and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of all roll-out strategies.

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Master's Degree (MBA or equivalent) would be considered an asset
- 5-10 years of relevant commercial experience
- 5-10 years of senior management experience
- Experience handling customer complaints and resolving issues efficiently
- An understanding of ECare, GLDS and SalesForce would be a plus
- A proven track record of consistently exceeding targets in an internationally matrix-managed business environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, persuade, and deliver compelling arguments.

- Strong leadership with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Sound financial acumen with the ability to understand budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring the business is on track to meet revenue and profitability targets.
