Primary Objective
The Retail Sales Executive is responsible for supporting the growth, operational excellence, and compliance of the retail sales channel by working closely with dealers, store teams, and internal stakeholders. The role ensures that retail locations consistently meet commercial targets, maintain proper operational standards, have adequate stock availability, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
The Retail Sales Executive will serve as a key link between the company, dealers, and frontline teams by providing ongoing support, coaching, performance monitoring, and issue resolution to drive sales growth and operational efficiency.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Dealer & Store Relationship Management
•Develop and maintain strong working relationships with dealers, store managers, and retail staff to ensure alignment with company objectives.
•Conduct weekly store visits to monitor performance, provide guidance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
•Act as the main point of contact for dealer queries, providing timely support and escalating issues where required.
•Support dealers in understanding and implementing company policies, procedures, promotions, and sales initiatives.
•Monitor dealer compliance with agreed contractual obligations, operational standards, and brand requirements.
Stock Management & Availability
•Ensure stores and dealers maintain adequate stock levels to support sales demand.
•Monitor inventory availability, stock movement, and replenishment requirements.
•Work with relevant teams to address stock shortages, aging inventory, and distribution challenges.
•Conduct regular stock checks and ensure compliance with stock management procedures.
•Support the reduction of stock losses through proper controls and accountability.
Compliance & Operational Excellence
• Conduct regular store audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to company standards.
•Ensure dealers and store teams follow approved processes, documentation requirements, and customer verification procedures.
•Identify operational gaps and provide recommendations to improve efficiency.
•Monitor adherence to merchandising, branding, customer experience, and sales execution standards.
•Escalate compliance concerns and assist with corrective action plans.
Training & Team Development
•Assist with onboarding and training of dealer staff and retail employees.
•Provide coaching and ongoing support to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
•Assist in delivering training on new products, promotions, systems, and operational procedures.
•Identify knowledge gaps and recommend additional training opportunities.
Customer Experience & Issue Resolution
•Support the management and resolution of customer complaints and feedback received through retail channels.
•Investigate recurring customer concerns and recommend solutions to improve service delivery.
•Ensure customer issues are handled professionally and within agreed timelines.
•Capture customer insights and share feedback with relevant teams to improve products and processes.
Reporting & Business Insights
• Prepare weekly reports on store visits, sales performance, compliance findings, stock availability, and key challenges.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on market observations and customer feedback.
• Track dealer performance and highlight areas requiring additional support.
• Maintain accurate records of store visits, action plans, and follow-up activities.
Academic Qualifications & Experience Required for role:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in retail sales, dealer management, field sales, or customer-facing operations.
• Experience working with retail teams, franchises, or dealer networks is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of sales processes, customer service principles, and operational controls.
• Experience conducting store visits, audits, coaching, and performance reviews.
