Job Title: Paralegal
1. ROLE PURPOSE
The Paralegal supports the Legal & Regulatory Director across a wide range of legal and regulatory matters that impact the company’s operations across the SWI markets. The role provides legal and administrative support for the review, coordination, tracking, and documentation of contracts and related legal instruments (including, where applicable, propertyrelated leases and licences), ensuring that agreements are managed in a consistent, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with Digicel’s internal standards. The role will also support ad hoc contract review of standard templates and legal research on matters touching and concerning the company, as assigned.
2. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Legal & Regulatory Director, the job holder will be responsible for the following:
Contract & Property Agreement Support
· Assist with the preparation of draft agreements (including leases, renewals, extensions, amendments, licences, NDAs, and related correspondence) using approved precedents and standard templates.
· Assist with the review and organization of commercial agreements, including property-related leases (warehouse, site, office, retail), licences, NDAs, and other standard form contracts across SWI markets.
· Support contract administration activities, including maintenance of agreement trackers, databases, and status reports, and providing updates to stakeholders as required.
· Review contract documentation for completeness, consistency, and alignment with approved Digicel templates, escalating issues for senior legal review where necessary.
· Conduct ad hoc reviews of standard templates (including licences, equipment agreements, NDAs, template leases, and related forms), and flag deviations and legal risks for senior legal review.
Coordination and Administration.
· Coordinate the agreement execution process, including circulation of documents, monitoring of signatures, and filing of executed contracts.
· Liaise with internal stakeholders (Facilities, Finance, Technical, Procurement, Market teams) to obtain Contract Summary Forms, instructions, and supporting documentation for contracting matters.
· Assist with communications and document exchanges with counterparties, landlords (where applicable), and external counsel, as instructed.
· Identify and flag expired or expiring agreements (including leases, where applicable) for escalation and follow-up.
· Keep informed of notices issued by regulators and bring relevant notices, deadlines, and required actions to the attention of the Legal & Regulatory Director.
Legal and Departmental Support
· Conduct basic legal research on matters touching and concerning the company, including (where relevant) property and lease-related matters in OECS jurisdictions, as required.
· Ensure that all contract and property-related documentation is properly indexed, stored, and maintained in accordance with Digicel’s document management and confidentiality standards.
· Provide general legal and administrative support to the Legal & Regulatory Department as assigned.
· Track invoices and payments submitted for Legal & Regulatory review/approval.
3. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The candidate should possess:
· A degree in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
· 1–3 years’ experience in a legal, paralegal, or contracts support role.
· Prior exposure to commercial contracts or lease agreements will be considered an asset, though not mandatory.
4. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
· Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and document control.
· Sound written and verbal communication skills.
· Working knowledge of commercial contracts, with a basic understanding of lease concepts as an asset.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and document management systems.
· Ability to work effectively across multi-market and cross-functional teams.

7. SCOPE OF AUTHORITY
This role provides legal support only and does not carry authority to provide independent legal advice or enter into negotiations. All substantive legal matters and positions must be approved by the Legal & Regulatory Director or designated senior counsel.
