Primary objective of the job:
- Drive achievement of monthly and annual new business revenue targets, and KPIs as assigned by manager
- Manages a portfolio of customer accounts as assigned by manager and prospects for new accounts to grow portfolio
- Go-to person for any queries or issues from assigned accounts and works diligently to resolve such issues. Escalate these issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality of service and revenue
- Identify, track, manage and mitigate churn risk
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in their assigned customer base
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meets assigned revenue targets for profitable revenue growth
- Maintain precise pipeline visibility and forecasting in CRM system, ensuring data reflects opportunity status
- Elevate the Wholesale Business brand by delivering exceptional sales experiences, maximizing solution uptake, and fostering long-term client retention
- Take full ownership of the sales lifecycle, ensuring deals are closed and billed within agreed and committed timelines
- Prepare and present service proposals, and formal pricing offers, driving them through to signed contracts
- Mobilize internal resources: legal, technical, service delivery, and leadership teams to meet account performance goals, resolve client needs, and ensure that the services ordered are delivered on time
- Initiate and oversee the setting up of new accounts and ensure timely renewal of existing contracts to maintain service continuity
- Provide actionable insights into competitor activity and industry trends to inform business strategy
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Primary Degree in Technology, Business or Telecommunications
- Minimum 5 years experience in Corporate Sales
- Knowledge of Data Services including Subsea and Terrestrial, Ethernet, MPLS, IP Transit and Hosting/Co-Location Services
- Sales certification
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products – particularly MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint a requirement
