Primary objective of the job: 



We are seeking a Consolidation and FP&A (Finance Planning & Analysis) specialist with a strong background in accounting and a desire to expand their skills in the finance systems area. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, financial consolidation, auditing, and financial planning & analysis, with a keen interest in technology.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the Finance Systems for the Finance Consolidation (FC) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) areas in Digicel
  • Provide technical and functional guidance for the FC and FP&A teams as needed in projects, change requests and Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations
  • Create and maintain reports and data extractions for these areas
  • Work with the functional team to ensure the financial results of the company are correct in a timely manner, analysing and investigating the financials as needed
  • Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP
  • Conduct financial consolidation and intercompany reconciliations
  • Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulation
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and databases
  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize finance-related systems and procedures
  • Continually update technical knowledge and skills in areas such as  Workday Financials, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), SQL and Power BI 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in accounting, financial consolidation, auditing, and financial planning
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of Workday Financials, Oracle HFM/FCCS, Power BI and SQL is a plus
  • Experience in working with planning, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
  • Desire to learn, grow and develop in the finance systems area

  • Even when this is an individual-contributor role, they are expected to be able to coordinate with other areas of the organization such as Finance Systems, FC and FP&A
