Primary objective of the job: 


The Head of Content Strategy will be responsible for establishing and managing relationships with content providers and negotiating contracts to enhance the service offerings of an FttH (Fiber to the Home) network provider and all associated divisions within Digicel Group. The role requires a strategic mindset and excellent communication skills to ensure that the company remains competitive in the rapidly evolving telecommunications and entertainment landscape. This role involves working closely with content creators, distributors, and internal stakeholders to ensure a diverse and engaging content library that meets audience demands and business objectives.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


•    Negotiate licensing agreements and partnerships with content providers, including streaming services, and media companies
•    Identify emerging content trends and recommend potential partnership opportunities that align with the company's objectives
•    Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and technical departments, to develop content integration strategies
•    Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry players and content creators
•    Analyze performance metrics to assess the impact of content on viewer engagement and retention
•    Conduct market research to identify content trends and audience preferences
•    Stay informed about industry developments and competitive landscape to drive strategic decision-making
•    Monitor market conditions and competitor offerings to inform negotiation strategies and proposals
•    Prepare and present comprehensive reports on contract negotiations and partnership performance to senior management

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:


•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Media, Communications, or related field
•    Proven experience in contract negotiation, preferably within the telecommunications or media industries
•    Strong understanding of the OTT landscape, linear TV and digital content distribution
•    Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to analyze data and generate insights to inform strategic decisions
