Main objectives of the job:

The Enterprise Risk Manager plays a critical role in coordinating the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across the Group. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework that enables proactive risk identification and strategic decision-making. The Enterprise Risk Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure a holistic approach to risk management that supports the Group’s mission, goals, and compliance requirements.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, maintains, or improves a robust enterprise risk management framework that integrates risk management into all aspects of the Group’s activities and decision-making processes
  • Promotes a risk-aware culture across the Group, fostering an environment where risk identification and reporting are encouraged and valued by all members of the business
  • With management, coordinates the identification and assessment of risks across the Group, considering a wide range of areas including operations, finance, technology, compliance, reputation, and more
  • With management, coordinates the development and implementation strategies to mitigate identified risks, working closely with relevant stakeholders to establish effective controls and action plans
  • Collaborates with department heads and operational leaders to identify and address specific risks within their areas
  • Provides guidance and support in developing risk mitigation plans
  • Participates in professional development to stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks that could impact the Group
  • Proactively recommends adjustments to the risk management strategy as needed
  • Design and develop risk assessments, surveys, dashboards, scorecards and reports using appropriate metrics (key risk indicators, , emerging risks, control effectiveness) to support the business in its evaluation and reporting of enterprise risk
  • Ensure that a comprehensive and continuous risk identification and mitigation process is in place
  • Monitor the Top Group and Market level risks
  • Collaborates with Second Line of Defense (Compliance, revenue assurance etc.) and other relevant stakeholders
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A bachelor's degree - Accountancy, Business, Risk Management, Information Management Systems, Industrial engineering, or other related discipline
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience working in a leading position as Risk/Compliance consultant or an internal auditor for Consulting services firm, or within industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Enterprise Risk management, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Concepts
  • Professional certifications such as: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Governance, Risk, Compliance professional (GRCP), Professional Risk Manager (PRMIA), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), PMP
  • Good understanding of core business processes, associated risks, and leading practice controls.

  • The ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity, drive towards a desired outcome, and gain stakeholder support
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving and presentation/report writing skills, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics
  • Skills in coordinating and monitoring the work of others, with whom there is no direct reporting relationship
  • High proficiency in both verbal and written English
  • Intellectual mobility and inquisitiveness; Comfortable developing answers/solutions when requirements remain unclear or change
  • Ability to assess technical information to distil the key strategic insights and convey these succinctly and confidently both orally and in written form
  • Ability to work independently and build effective working relationships internally and externally
