Primary objective of the job:


At Digicel we are undertaking a Global Transformation Program led through a series of initiatives in which we will provide an enhanced service and experience to our customers, become a true digital company inside and out and develop our people with new capabilities. The Finance Transformation Office is a high performance team operating and providing support across the Digicel Group. 


Reporting to the Transformation Office CFO, the Finance Manager will operate as a business partner working closely with various business units and helping to create a real and active partnership with both operations and management. The Finance Manager, supported by a Finance Analyst, will challenge and influence key stakeholders at all levels within the organization, prioritizing and acting independently at both the tactical and strategic level.


The role is a high visibility role providing high quality business partnering to Senior financial leadership throughout the Group and through good understanding of the systems and functional processes play a key role in driving the Global Transformation Program.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Drive strategic initiatives from inception to delivery by prioritizing, analyzing, designing and deploying appropriate solutions
  • Work directly with senior executives, developing and managing relationships on a daily basis
  • Set up and manage weekly reviews with regional PMOs and their support teams in order to check in on and drive initiatives
  • Understand, track, and help drive global transformation initiatives
  • Effectively partner with cross-functional leaders of the organization to identify, analyze, and obtain required data and co-create solutions
  • Actively engage with leadership to analyze and identify areas for operational improvements and efficiencies
  • Develop and provide the right metrics to measure process efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity
  • Use professional judgment to determine real risks and threats to the project initiatives and milestones, and communicate to key stakeholders where necessary
  • Make finance, process and business recommendations to Project Initiative Leads based on data analysis
  • Work alongside management to continuously seek to improve the accuracy of the reported figures
  • Provide detailed data analysis on key project performance indicators and project milestones across all business units
  • Explain reported data and variances vs original plan
  • Assembly and preparation of presentations for Executive Committee, Board meetings, and other senior management meetings


Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounts, Economics, Banking Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • ACA or ACCA certification with minimum 3 years Post Qualified experience gained in a commercial environment
  • Prior team management experience
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate progress, issues and recommendations in a concise manner
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail, high standards of accuracy and consistency in data, and efficient identification and resolution of issues.
  • Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate high energy, a strong work ethic, flexibility, a relentless customer-focus and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Previous Program Transformation or Business Partner experience preferred
  • Highly Advanced Excel Modelling, PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Advanced use of financial systems (e.g. Oracle, Workday, SAP)
  • Previous experience using the Wave application a plus
