The primary objective of the Job:

A dynamic and flexible role, required to complete various financial projects, including but not limited to driving audit completion in several markets, preparing financial statements, process correction, standardization, and improvements


Key objectives:

  • As the Financial Projects Specialist you will be the key connection between our Central Group Team and various markets in bringing and maintaining external and financial reporting up to date
  • This includes responsibility for driving completion audits, preparation, and completion of financial statements under IFRS on a timely basis
  • Reviewing and planning for year-end audit cycle
  • Build a relationship with local auditors


Main accountabilities:

  • Traveling to various markets in the Caribbean, meeting with key finance personnel, cultivating and maintaining relationships between markets and groups and the local auditors
  • Completion of audits and financial statements for markets
  • Responsible for improving the quality and automation of markets’ audit and financial statement process.
  • Reviewing and if necessary training markets on key accounts to ensure alignment with Group Policies and IFRS
  • Identifying companies suitable for liquidation and driving transfer and consolidation of operating entities within markets
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual compliance


Qualifications, knowledge & experience:

  • ACCA/ACA or equivalent – with strong understanding and performance in Financial Reporting
  • 1-2 Years PQE
  • Previous experience of multi-currency environments and consolidation
  • Knowledge and experience of ERP Systems (preferred Workday/HFM/GP/Dynamix)
  • Working with auditors and other external parties to ensure compliance achieved and maintained


Functional Skills and abilities:

  • Prior experience in a multi-location accounting environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting, reporting, and consolidation.
  • Advanced excel user
  • Up to date knowledge of IFRS
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Ability to systemize and automate manual workings in excel
