Job Profile- Financial Planning Analyst


Primary objective of the job:

  • To provide key daily stats to Senior Management
  • To provide financial expertise to Commercial team

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily and monthly KPI’s - GSM & FTTH
  • Prepare Daily Revenue Tracking (Flash), Direct Cost Tracking, Data/Products Tracker  – GSM & FTTH
  • Preparation of annual budgets and monthly reforecasting. Development of regular monitoring of performance and re-forecasting for all bussiness
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare Weekly ICT Tracker
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis of revenue and direct costs
  • Monitor Total Recharge – Local and Diaspora (Daily, Weekly and Monthly Tracking)
  • Prepare quarterly reports for external bodies e.g. OUR
  • Month End Reporting – CVM Reports (ARPU, Intl, Outbound Roaming, TCT, Closing subs) and Board Reports (Credits Report, Board Minutes) 
  • Validation of daily reports relating to revenues, direct costs and operational stats and communicate same to Manager
  • Assist in the provision of high quality financial and commercial data to support Commercial Team
  • Complete quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that translates data into actionable insight
  • Prepare quarterly reports for external bodies e.g. OUR
  • Any other assigned duties

Academic qualifications and experience required for job:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Three (3) years experience in a similar capacity
  • Highly analytical with strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meets very stringent deadlines
  • Experience in telecommunications would be an asset.


Functional Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficient in PowerPoint
  • General understanding and manipulation of MIS reports
  • Knowledge of Business Objects/ SAS an advantage
