Primary objective of the job: 

 

Digicel Financial Services (DFS) is enabling new ways for consumers to access financial services. We achieve this by leveraging mobile and payments technologies in the markets where we operate. The selected candidate will act as the business owner for the MyCash mobile wallet program in Jamaica with focal point being  the expansion of the portfolio to include the integration of Mobile Money ( digital channels) into Paymaster ( OTC channel) delivering on both commercial and financial KPIs. Oversight to include the legacy business of Paymaster which includes driving and achieving the consolidation the OTC and Digital business as one program

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Contribute with strategy definition for the program in Jamaica; ensure this is  in full alignment with the strategy of the DFS group 
  • Drive the evolution of the program managing the P&L accordingly 
  • Deliver on program financial KPIs: revenue, direct cost, operational expenses and EBITDA 
  • Deliver on operational KPIs: registered customers, active customers, use-case activity and profitability. Ensuring reporting of the numbers is provided with context. 
  • Define the product roadmap in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Product & Growth Officer   
  • Coordinate the marketing strategy for the program. Drive and execute on customer acquisition, activation, and retention strategies 
  • Integrate Mobile Money into Paymaster 
  • Act as single point of contact with the local banking partners, customer support, and other internal support functions, and regulator 
  • Coordinate with the Head of Compliance to assure adherence to applicable laws and regulations and due diligence as required 
  • To build a strong sustainable team through attracting, retaining, and developing a highly talented, motivated, and engaged workforce 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferable) 
  • Customer-focused mind frame 
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in managing a business unit in the payments industry. Experience in mobile wallets or fintech businesses highly preferred 
  • Robust Experience managing business/product P&L 
  • Strong product life-cycle management discipline 
  • Ability to manage deliverables in a dynamic and fast paced environment 
  • Self-starter. Motivated by a sense of ownership, passion and pride for the product 
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills 
  • Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills 
  • Ability to be hands-on as well as strategic
