Primary objective of the job:
The Group Commercial Devices Head plays a pivotal role in leading Digicel’s multi-market devices strategy across all business units (Prepaid, Postpaid, and Broadband), spanning 25 markets. This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving revenue growth, gross adds acquisition, profitability, and churn reduction by shaping a high-impact devices portfolio, optimizing subsidy allocation, and maximizing channel performance.
With full P&L ownership of the Devices business, this role directly contributes to the commercial success of Digicel through strategic partnerships with OEMs, effective lifecycle management of device offerings, and strong collaboration with sales, marketing, and customer operations across the group. The role requires strong commercial acumen, vendor management expertise, and an ability to drive cross-market alignment in execution.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Revenue Growth & P&L Ownership
- Lead the end-to-end commercial strategy for Devices across all lines of business and geographies
- Drive profitable revenue growth through effective pricing, bundling, and lifecycle management
- Own the Devices business P&L, ensuring sustainable profitability and ROI on subsidies and promotions
2. Acquisition & Retention Enablement
- Design devices programs that serve as key enablers for new customer acquisition and churn reduction
- Align with commercial leads to ensure the devices roadmap supports gross adds and CLTV targets
- Integrate retention mechanisms through bundled and postpaid strategies tailored to each market
3. Portfolio & Pricing Strategy
- Curate and optimize a segmented, performance-driven devices portfolio (entry to flagship)
- Define group-wide pricing architecture that balances affordability with margin targets
- Leverage customer data and market insights to constantly refine offerings
4. Channel Enablement & Execution
- Ensure seamless integration of devices strategy into all direct and indirect sales channels
- Collaborate with channel heads to develop frontline execution, incentive models, and sell-out programs
- Design channel toolkits to support effective training, visibility, and merchandising
5. Vendor & OEM Management
- Lead strategic relationships with key device manufacturers and ecosystem partners
- Negotiate contracts, procurement models, and support agreements to optimize device cost structures
- Secure supply continuity and co-marketing support in alignment with commercial priorities
6. Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and lead a high-performing Devices team with regional coordination and local empowerment
- Collaborate with Group Marketing, Commercial Ops, and Finance to integrate device plans into broader GTM strategy
- Partner with Technology and Supply Chain for forecasting, logistics, and lifecycle alignment
7. Market Insights & Innovation
- Stay ahead of trends including 5G, IoT, wearables, and sustainability in device procurement
- Drive innovation in device offerings that support digital engagement and upselling strategies
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, Economics, or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years in senior commercial leadership within Telecom or Consumer Electronics
- Proven track record in P&L ownership, pricing strategy, vendor negotiation, and regional execution
- Experience managing teams across multiple geographies and in matrix environments
