Primary objective of the job:
The Head of Group Commercial Channels will work collaboratively with market teams to ensure the effective adoption of the commercial framework, optimize channel performance, and strategically manage commission structures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Alignment:
- Channel Strategy Development: Define and implement the overarching channel strategy for Mobile and Digicel+, ensuring strong alignment with overall business goals and ambitious revenue targets
- Revenue Optimization Initiatives: Spearhead initiatives aimed at maximizing revenue growth through effective channel execution and the adoption of best practices
Execution and Performance Management:
- Market Support Leadership: Provide high-level guidance and support to market teams in executing the channel strategy and achieving critical performance goals
- Market Penetration and Productivity Enhancement: Drive efforts to increase market penetration and channel effectiveness by identifying and implementing strategies that boost reach and resource allocation efficiency
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of channel performance metrics, pinpoint areas for improvement, and implement strategic initiatives to significantly enhance productivity and profitability
- Commission Structure Management: Oversee the strategic optimization of commission structures to incentivize high performance and ensure alignment with overarching business objectives
Collaboration and Communication:
- Cross-Functional Strategic Collaboration: Engage closely with various departments to ensure cohesive execution of strategies that deliver significant value to the organization
- Training and Development Leadership: Facilitate advanced training sessions and workshops to elevate market teams’ understanding of the commercial framework and channel management best practices
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- 5-7 years of experience in commercial channel strategy or related roles, ideally within the telecommunications industry or similar sectors
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and enhancing commercial productivity through effective channel management and execution
- Extensive experience in implementing commercial frameworks and optimizing channel performance, with a strong focus on productivity and commission structures
Functional Skills:
- Robust analytical skills to assess market performance metrics and derive actionable insights for continuous improvement
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and key market stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and drive alignment across diverse teams
