Primary objective of the job:

Drive media planning and effective media solutions to achieve business objectives and KPIs across business units. Responsible for delivering paid digital strategy and plans as well as optimizations across offline and owned media channels.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan effective cross channel media campaigns in line with core business goals and campaign objectives/KPIs
  • Ownership of the digital strategy & plans, whilst ensuring aligned to the central strategy. 
  • Work with local markets, strategy, media operations and other media planners (owned and social) to optimize paid media investment and outcomes across offline, online and owned media channels
  • Develop cross channel campaign strategy and digital media plans to ensure best in class campaign execution in alignment with central media and marketing strategy.
  • Work with markets to define paid media strategy and develop media plans for local tactical campaigns. Work in conjunction with market leads & web/app teams to define user journeys and campaign tracking for campaigns to report on KPI delivery.
  • Work with Digital Service leads and other key stakeholders to develop paid media strategy and user journeys for stand-alone app campaigns and ensure campaigns are tracked properly to report on KPI delivery.
  • Produce strategic media plans in line with comms framework that will act as a detailed brief for Activation team to develop media schedule
  • Work with Activation teams to develop media plans for local and standalone digital service campaigns to address requirements from media brief.
  • Support creative development alongside local market and other business unit teams to align with paid media strategy.
  • Monitor digital media activities against KPIs in buying/reporting platforms with the Activation & Insight teams to help define optimizations for campaign success.
  • Review reports from Activation & Insight teams on campaign performance to identify key challenges and opportunities for improvements. Provide feedback to markets on campaign performance and drive change through campaign insights.
  • Experience & knowledge of digital media platforms, such as FB, Google Ads, programmatic. Experience of working with digital applications and/or products



Academic qualifications and experience required for job:

  • BSc/BA in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing Specialization/Certification or any other related field
  • 4+ years of media planning experience with digital marketing focus or competency. Ability to demonstrate digital planning capabilities and show evidence of success delivering campaign objectives in digital
  • Have a broad knowledge of all media channels and be able to plan across all, with detailed knowledge of digital media
  • Experience working in an agency or a global role and / or across multiple markets preferred
  • Experience managing & buying digital campaigns (e.g. GoogleAds, Ads Manager) (preferential)



Functional Skills:

  • Understanding of telecom industry (regional experience is advantageous)
  • Experience & proficient knowledge of digital media platforms, such as FB, Google Ads, programmatic. Experience of working with digital applications and/or products
  • Identifying target audiences, understand their behavior/habits and develop solutions to apply this to media channels
  • Highly analytical and able to evaluate multiple data sets, spot trends and make recommendations for effective media solutions
  • Experience in managing significant media budget/investments
  • Experience working with creative resources to develop suitable messaging and formats for media channels preferred
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with multiple internal & external stake holders
  • Excellent oral and written communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
