Primary objective of the job: 

 

To play a strategic role as the day-to-day contact for insights and analytics to markets and Group Technical and provide on-going analytical support through the utilization of data management, modelling and technology to help drive business improvement.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Play a strategic role as the day-to-day contact for insights and analytics to markets and Group Technical
  • Audit system data in order to guarantee compliance, accuracy, and duplication management
  • Analysis of network data to provide relevant stakeholders with information that supports the objectives of the markets and Group Technical relating to KPIs
  • Design targeted reports and dashboards and develop clear and understandable presentations that will provide analytical insight and enable sound business decision-making to relevant stakeholders
  • Work with markets and other teams in Group Technical to clean, filter data, review reports, dashboards, and KPIs for purpose of enabling the correction of network related issues in the markets
  • Work collaboratively with the Network Management team and vendors to ensure that there is a thorough understanding of the business’s network data needs and priorities, as well as the ongoing strategic initiatives where data collection, analysis, and migration is required
  • Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders in an attempt to identify automating process opportunities and functions that will streamline current and future data management and reporting of network KPIs
  • Maintain a clear understanding of analytics and reporting, Headend/IPTV technology and mobile technology (GSM+WCDMA+LTE) and apply this knowledge to develop and recommend solutions that will further enhance the business’s competitive edge and place the business at an advantage over competition in terms of networks

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Applied Math, Data Analytics, Information Systems or Information Technology from an accredited university
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in data analytics or network performance
  • At least 3 years of RAN telecom experience (GSM+WCDMA+LTE) and/ or Headend/IPTV
  • Training in Radio Planning and Optimization and experience working with data mining techniques and database structures would be an asset

 

Functional Skills:

 

  • Skilled in Power BI, SQL server reporting services, Tableau or any other visualization tools
  • Experience with R; SQL preferred
  • Strong analytical, pattern recognition and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
  • Excellent computer skills and be highly proficient in use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Detailed oriented
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative setting
