Main objectives of the job: 

  • Evaluate and enhance the power distribution infrastructure to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize downtime, contributing to overall network stability and reliability
  • Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems across network sites to maintain optimal temperature and environmental conditions for critical equipment, ensuring their longevity and performance
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure redundancy and backup power solutions are in place, reducing the risk of service interruptions during power outages

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular inspections and assessments of power distribution systems and HVAC infrastructure to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
  • Planning and executing power and HVAC projects, including system upgrades, installations, and retrofitting as per company standards and guidelines
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Network Operations, Facilities, and Project Management, to ensure seamless integration of power and HVAC systems with the overall network infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting and resolving power and HVAC-related incidents and emergencies promptly to minimize service disruptions and ensure network availability
  • Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and reports related to power and HVAC systems' performance, maintenance, and compliance with regulatory standards

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications in power systems, HVAC, or related disciplines are highly desirable
  • Proven experience in power distribution, HVAC systems, or related fields, preferably within the telecommunications industry
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, power electronics, HVAC principles, and industry best practices
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards for power and HVAC infrastructure in telecommunication sites

 

 

Functional Skills:

  • Proficiency in conducting site surveys and assessments to determine power and HVAC requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex power and HVAC issues
  • Excellent project management skills to plan and execute power and HVAC projects efficiently
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in power and HVAC design and analysis
