Primary objective of the job:
The Group Technology Project Coordinator supports the Project Management Office by providing advanced analysis, reporting, and process automation capabilities. The role enhances project and portfolio decision-making through data-driven insights, automated reporting solutions, and continuous improvement of PMO processes, contributing directly to improved delivery performance and governance effectiveness across technology initiatives
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful project and portfolio analysis to support PMO and executive decision-making
- Design and automate PMO reports, dashboards, and workflows to improve efficiency and data quality
- Strengthen portfolio visibility, controls, and governance through standardised analytics and data management
- Support continuous improvement of PMO tools, processes, and performance measurement
- Enable alignment between project delivery, technology, and business priorities
Project & Portfolio Analysis
- Analyse project performance across schedule, cost, scope, risks, issues, and benefits
- Track trends and variances across the project portfolio and highlight early warning indicators
- Support benefits realisation tracking, dependency mapping, and scenario analysis across programmes and initiatives
Reporting and Documentation
- Design, maintain, and automate standardised PMO reports and executive dashboards
- Consolidate data from multiple project teams and systems into accurate, decision-ready outputs
- Ensure integrity, consistency, and quality of project and portfolio data
- Prepare analysis and reporting inputs for SteerCo, governance forums, and executive reviews
Process Automation and Tool Enablement
- Identify opportunities to automate PMO processes, including status reporting, action tracking, risk and issue management, and data collection
- Design and develop automation solutions using scripting, programming, or low-code / no-code platforms
- Integrate and transform data across tools such as project management systems, spreadsheets, and financial data sources
- Support continuous enhancement of PMO templates, tools, and workflows
Governance and PMO Support
- Support adherence to PMO governance frameworks, standards, and controls
- Assist with audits, data validation, and quality assurance activities
- Provide analytical and technical support to Project Managers and PMO leadership
- Act as a liaison between PMO, technology, and data teams where required
Stakeholder Communication and Coordination
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders
- Translate business and PMO requirements into analytical or automated solutions
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Project Management, or a related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Project Analyst, PMO Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role
- Proven experience supporting PMO reporting, portfolio management, or delivery analytics
- Demonstrated background in software development or programming, with hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Python, SQL, JavaScript, VBA, or similar languages
- Proven experience in process automation, data integration, or workflow optimization
- Experience with project and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI, and SharePoint
- Project management, analytics, or BI certifications (CAPM, PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, Power BI, or equivalent) are an advantage
Functional skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to design dashboards, data models, and automated reporting solutions
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong proficiency with Power BI or similar BI tools
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical and analytical solutions
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Clear and professional communication skills
