Job Title- Reporting and CAPEX Accountant

Reports to- Financial Controller-Reporting and tax

Direct reports- None


Primary Objective of the Job: 


  • To ensure efficient management of financial reporting areas in the Finance department, to include month-end group reporting, statutory reporting, external audit reporting, half year and quarterly reporting. Ensure accurate and timely information flow for financial accounts and other reports (internal and external) within Co. timelines, and in accordance with accounting standards.

Main duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of Group reporting pack.
  • Prepare the regular review of the IFRS 9 provision based on the debtor’s profiles.
  • Support the Balance Sheet reconciliation reporting and follow up the issue logs with the respective stakeholders.
  • Ongoing alignment with the technical team to ensure that the issue logs are updated in Nomos (IFRS 16 software).
  •  Update the Capex tracker and meet with program managers to discuss the status of project spend vs budget.
  • Prepare Cash Capex report and update HFM manual input by project codes
  • Liaise with SSC for supporting documents for FA additions, disposal etc. and collaborate with the auditors on their assignment.
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and align the assets classifications with the FA register of the external auditors(PWC).
  • Carry out inventory counts of fixed assets.
  • Provide in-market contact with SSC to ensure that the intercompany balance is reconciled and that the overall IC difference is below the market threshold of USD50,000.
  • Coordination and review of all Group report inputs
  • External audit liaison
  • Accounting and responsibility for the Jamaica Sub-consol.
  • Other assigned duties.


Academic Qualification required:

  • Qualified Accountant for a minimum of three (3) years.
  • Five (5) years of management reporting experience in a large company
  • Working knowledge of Great Plain software would be a distinct advantage
