Main objectives of the job: 

The Roaming Executive is primarily responsible for facilitating testing and implementation of roaming services between Digicel markets and international roaming partners. The role concentrates on delivery of new services and maintaining existing relationships to enhance inbound and outbound roaming revenue.

The position will require management of partners, testing of new services, vendors and internal Digicel teams ensure targets are achieved. The successful applicant will be an effective project manager with the ability to coordinate roaming testing and other related activities between roaming partners and vendors.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the internal and external Service Implementation process, while maintaining control of the rollout of services in the Digicel Markets
  • Follow-up on status of roaming partners progress at all stages in the implementation process
  • Manage the sending and receiving of test documentation, TAP Completion Certificates, and assist with Test SIMs (both internally and externally)
  • Coordinate the launch of the commercial service with the roaming partner (CLL signature and launch notification)
  • Perform roaming tests IR24, IR32, IR35 and IR38 etc
  • Provide technical support and coordination for Digicel territories to ensure the resolution of all roaming issues
  • Liaise with Group Technical Roaming Team to complete service opening
  • Update inventory of SIM cards received from SIM Coordinator, inventory of test phones received and Office data changes as per procedure
  • Perform and assist all administrative tasks related to management of the roaming department, trouble shooting & resolving any roaming related complaints, IREG/TADIG testing, communication with vendor and/or roaming partners, internal departments, and revenue assurance Perform TADIG validation on all roaming tests
  • Coordinate with Roaming Billing to sign off on all validations
  • Provide regular updates on all activities
  • Maintain familiarity with all GSM Association requirements keeping current with any new developments

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Associate degree/diploma in a technical discipline
  • Knowledge of Mobile technologies and call flows

 

 

Functional Skills:

  • Experience in user acceptance testing
  • Initiative to improve pro-actively the processes and procedures continuously.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to proactively anticipate customer needs and make recommendations to meet those needs
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience win the telecommunications industry
  • Account management skills and experience preferred
