Primary objective of the job:
Maintain Excellent Roaming Quality of Service across the entire Digicel Group and rest of the world.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain Roaming Quality of Service through the use of new or existing tools
- Support local engineers across the BUs to ensure the same roaming experience across all territories
- Study optimization possibilities of roaming technical operations
- Support with appropriate know-how, the testing processes conducted by Technical Teams
- Liaison between Digicel and roaming partners and vendors on all roaming related queries for Digicel group
- Act as Internal & External point of contact on roaming technical roaming related issues
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A degree/diploma in Electrical\Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or minimum 2 years’ experience in related field (GSM knowledge)
- Good knowledge on SS7 signaling, core network management, LTE/GPRS platforms and protocols (SGSN, GGSN, SMS Firewall)
- Experience with SS7, Diameter and GPRS tracing
- Experience with Ericsson switching platforms , Cisco routing, STP/ITP, IP protocols and UNIX
- UNIX Scripting would be an asset
- Experience with troubleshooting of Voice, SMS, Data and Roaming
