Job Profile: Senior Logistics & Inventory Executive

 

 

Primary objective of the job:

  • The Senior Logistics & Inventory Executive is responsible for managing logistics and order processing within the corporate sales and procurement environment. This includes system approvals, forecasting, budget management, and continuous communication with stakeholders and vendors to ensure business customers receive equipment and services efficiently and accurately.
  • The role focuses on ensuring inventory efficiency within the business sales segment by reducing excess stock, preventing stockouts, and streamlining corporate order fulfilment. Through collaboration with procurement, inventory, and operations teams, the Executive supports effective distribution planning and adherence to SLAs to meet business client demands. 

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage corporate order approvals and maintain first in first out (FIFO) order fulfilment.
  • Monitor inventory turnover, aging stock, and obsolescence, ensuring timely replenishment and disposal.
  • Communicate updates on order status, stock arrival, and changes to internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize inventory management software (e.g., Workday, ODIM, Simply Workflow, Service Desk) to track stock movements and generate reports. 
  • Liaise with external suppliers to ensure timely and accurate stock updates and delivery.
  • Forecast demand and support budgeting efforts in collaboration with finance and the Business Sales teams.
  • Monitor and manage SAC allocation and utilization, ensuring alignment with budget.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and regulations and safety standards (Incorporate Calls for confirmation, Use debt report, email approval)
  • Maintain and update the purchase order tracker; coordinate with the inventory team to ensure availability.
  • Report to senior managers on order status, budget adherence, and SAC performance.
  • Provide continuous updates and communication with key internal and external stakeholders regarding order status, delivery timelines, and discrepancies.
  • Identify inefficiencies in inventory and distribution workflows and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Inventory and Distribution Manager to ensure effective distribution and inventory alignment with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Provide aftersales support by liaising with suppliers and repair centres to resolve repairs issues.
  • Train internal stakeholders and communicate new processes and system updates clearly and efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure performance, accountability, and continuity.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory status, distribution metrics, and cost-saving opportunities for senior management. 

 

Academic qualifications and experience required for job:

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management.
  • 4+ years of experience in corporate logistics or business operations.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, inventory tools (e.g., Workday, ODIM), Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with telecom equipment and devices (e.g., mobile phones, routers, CPEs) and vendor management 

 

 

Functional Skills:

  • Will require occasional travel to warehouse sites or supplier locations
  • Inventory accuracy (>98%).
