  • Supporting the banking and treasury functions; including funding of the bank accounts; updating of bank signatories; FX trading; completing bank and loan reconciliations and schedules; reporting and forecasting of CAPEX FTTH (Fibre to the Home).

Main duties and responsibilities

•    Update  the daily cash flow process by ensuring adequate funding of all bank accounts
•    Daily preparation of bank balances report.
•    Working Capital forecast weekly and monthly.
•    Monitor compliance with the Group treasury guidance
•    Daily reporting of US trading rate and monthly forecasting of major currencies
•    Conduct timely FX trading in line with cash flow requirements and preparation of FX trade report
•    Conducting swift and accurate transfers and payments
•    Completion of weekly and monthly payment reports, highlighting major payments
•    Accurate and timely preparation of bank, loans and assigned GL accounts reconciliations and schedules. Ongoing communication with the Shared Service Centre (SSC) to clear issues logs with respect to cash and bank reconciliations.
•    Opening and maintaining banking accounts and updating bank signatories
•    Timely preparation of weekly and monthly journals for approval and posting by the Record to Report Team.
•    Liaising with banking partners to efficiently resolve issues
•    Implement the auditor’s recommendations of the Financial Controls over Cash and bank and continuous monitoring of these controls.
•    Bank and Group Treasury Relationship Management
•    Any other assigned duties

Academic qualifications and experience required for the job:

  • BSc. in Finance or Banking or relevant Accounting discipline
  • ACCA level 3 or pursuing CPA would be an asset
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar position or in accounting
  • Experience with Great Plains and Work Place would be an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
