Primary Objective Of The Job


Global Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for the efficient relationships with major technical vendors resulting in the optimal commercial terms, quality of products and services compliant with Digicel’s requirements, and timely delivery.

 

Main Duties And Responsibilities

 

  • Develops procurement strategies in the Technical categories leading to the achievement of Digicel financial targets
  • Fulfills Procurement Master Plan to secure timely and efficient execution of procurement strategies in Technical categories
  • Arranges ongoing market research to secure efficient competition in Technical categories. Keeps Vendors’ master data updated
  • Communicates with internal customers to ensure that demands submitted to Procurement are timely, clear, and consistent
  • Conducts qualifications, RFP/RFQs and single-source vendor selections in the assigned procurement categories, which includes but not limited to RFP/RFQ/SSD drafting, communications with vendors and internal stakeholders, arranging of the e-auctions, offers evaluation, contracting
  • Handles the most complex commercial negotiations with the major Technical vendors
  • Arranges ongoing vendor performance management process resulting in tracking major vendors’ performance KPI and taking preventive measures in line with the contracts
  • Strictly follows Digicel sourcing policy, Financial delegation of Authority and other documents related to the procurement activities

 

Academic Qualifications And Experience Required For Job

 

  • BSc in Procurement and Supply Chain Management 
  • 5+ years of Procurement experience in a telecommunications industry

 

Functional Skills

 

  • Expertise in telecommunications, Technical and IT infrastructure, knowledge of solutions and vendors
  • Understanding of enterprise economics, TCO concept and knowledge of the pricing models
  • Skills of complex commercial negotiations
  • Communication skills and ability to build relationships
