Primary objective of the job:
As TAC Tier 1 Intern, you will provide first level support to Digicel’s Business Solutions customers across all product lines including but not limited to: Internet / Data / Voice, Cloud Telephony / Backup / Computing, IP PBX.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor the network and other related platform to proactively identify issues, resolve same and or escalate if needed
- Monitor a customer facing ticketing tool to resolve tickets submitted maintaining established Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Inform the business, stakeholders and peers about network performance and service availability by way of an establish means of communication
- Perform surveillance and proactive maintenance to prevent undue service outages
- Inform the business, stakeholders and peers about network performance and service availability by way of an establish means of communication
- Manage communication with Business Solutions customers, via email and/or phone calls, as the first point of contact
- Maintaining accurate customer data in Solarwinds, BMC Helix and shared documents comprising a customer database
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent
Functional Skills:
- Functional operations, maintenance of Video and VoIP technologies
- Installation and configuration of Cisco Devices is an asset
- Knowledge of Voice over IP protocols such as SIP
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a team player
