Primary objective

The store executive helps customers to find what they are looking for, tries to interest them in buying the merchandise and provides them with Digicel’s high standard service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities (maximum of eight (8) Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Greet customers, always making eye contact and with a smile, and ascertain what each customer wants or needs
  • Open and close cash registers, performing all tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons and vouchers, balancing cash drawers and making deposits
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment exchanges and security practices
  • Recommend, select and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desire
  • Describe, demonstrate merchandise and explain use, operation and care of merchandise to customers
  • Able to select from a number of alternatives the most appropriate action or procedure to solve the problem
  • Prioritizes work and accomplished tasks with only limited supervision
  • Provide information and support on campaigns, Digicel policies and procedures
  • Provide information about warranty conditions, the meaning of manufacturers’ specifications, and the types of options and financing available
  • Receive cash, checks, and charge payments; reconcile cash to Daily sales report at day end
  • Meet & Exceed Monthly Prepaid & Postpaid targets set by Management


Academic Qualifications and Experience required for position

  • Typically 5+ years relevant experience 
  • HAVO (Dutch senior high school) or equivalent degree (C&C – Level 1 or GCE – A Levels)
  • Advantage: Telecoms or Computer Science certification
  • Language: Necessary Papiamento Dutch English preferred Spanish 


Functional Skills

  • Strong written/oral (especially listening skills), organization & analytical skills
  • Advanced PC skills (Word and Excel plus other department specific systems); exhibits initiative
  • Works co-operatively with others to achieve team goals
  • Proficient in the use systems/PC in data compilation, analysis.
