Primary objectives

The primary objectives of this position are :

  • To meet the sales objectives to support the financial objectives as set by group for Digicel Suriname.
  • To identify (new) Business opportunities while supporting the total Commercial Objectives of the Company through excellent channel network relationships and excellent execution skills.
  • To manage and maintain relationships between Digicel and authorized dealers and ensure maximized revenues.
  • Ensure Customer Service and experience KPI’s are met while identifying improvement points in effort to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain seamless end to end after sale service being best in class quality and service for but not limited to sold handsets and accessories.

Main Duties and Responsibilities (maximum of eight (8) Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Increase Digicel position (market share) by developing a detailed sales plan and meet revenue growth objectives through acquisition.
  • Develop and execute new promotions that will increase growth of revenue, prepaid and postpaid sales.
  • Responsible for all Consumer sales activities and results.
  • Formulate & ensure achievement of company sales & profit objectives within each channel through the retail, distribution and direct sales.
  • Deliver a high quality Retail channel that delivers extraordinary service to our customers, meeting sales targets and meeting the Group Retail standards.
  • Develop and manage a strong sales operations team, supporting the operation with reporting, also ensuring an efficient and effective distribution and stock management with the purpose of supporting the sales objectives.
  • Responsible for Customer Service and aftersales planning, KPI’s and metrics aligned with the commercial strategy and based on customer satisfaction feedback.
  • Manage, motivate, train and develop an energetic team.

Academic Qualifications and Experience required for position

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years commercial management experience with a successful sales record of accomplishment in Consumer market.
  • Demonstrating leadership using proven methods to stimulate a team and make team members more productive.
  • Record of accomplishment in strategic thinking, project management and planning, translated into action.
  • Commercial experience with revenue generation and cost reduction.
  • Well developed interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Minimal 5 years of financial planning and budget management experience.
  • Ability to take on and meet targets consistently and to take ownership for results.
  • Strong background in operational excellence (procedures and processes).
  • Well-spoken in English and Dutch.
