Jr. VANS Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Role title:    Junior VANS Engineer    
Reports to: (role title)    Operations Manager    

Job purpose: 
The Junior VANS Engineer will support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our Value-Added Network Services (VANS). This position involves providing hands-on support for system implementations, troubleshooting, and performance enhancements. Responsibilities include managing Value-Added Services, executing roaming and tariff adjustments, and ensuring seamless integration of new products and services.

Main responsibilities: 
1    Operate and maintain VAS network elements.
2    Liaise with various teams for configurations on SMSC, voicemail and electronic platforms.
3    Conduct tariff and roaming implementations and end to end testing.
4    Ensure availability of VAS nodes in case of onsite emergencies.
5    Enforce and ensure adherence to Change Management processes and procedures in all support processes. User acceptance testing on new solutions.
6    Coordinate postpaid plan implementations and rate changes followed by verification testing.
7    Assist in rollout of VAS equipment, services and products.
8    Assist in product development /testing/implementation to facilitate Commercial.
9    Ensure KPI’s are met and network reporting.
10    Execute various configurations & troubleshooting on CAIN platform (in-house application).

Qualifications:
1    Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT, or a related field (final year students or recent graduates preferred) 
2    0-2 years of experience in network engineering, VANS, or telecommunications.
3    Basic knowledge of SQL, Linux and IP networking.
