Job Title: Finance Manager
Department: Finance
Report To: CFO
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the Accounts Receivable, Billing, Financial Control, Audit, Compliance, and Financial Reporting functions of the organization. The role ensures the integrity of revenue-related financial processes, effective management of receivables, timely and accurate financial reporting, and the maintenance of a strong governance and control environment.
He/She will also provide financial leadership to support business objectives, optimize cash flow and working capital performance, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement across finance operations.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Control & Reporting
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the integrity of financial records, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
- Support the preparation of statutory and management reporting.
Accounts Receivable & Billing
- Lead the Accounts Receivable and Billing functions.
- Drive collection performance and working capital optimization initiatives.
- Oversee credit management, receivables performance, and bad debt mitigation.
- Partner with business stakeholders to improve billing accuracy and collection effectiveness.
Audit, Compliance & Governance
- Lead internal and external audit engagements and act as the primary finance liaison for auditors.
- Ensure audit readiness and timely resolution of audit findings.
- Maintain a robust internal control environment and promote compliance across finance operations.
- Support regulatory reviews and compliance assessments.
Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies across finance activities.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build organizational capability through succession planning and talent development.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification required.
- MBA or master’s degree is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial role.
- Telecommunications industry experience preferred.
