INTITULÉ DU POSTE : R2R Accountant

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

The R2R Accountant is responsible for the accurate preparation, processing, and accounting of monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory tax and payroll regulations. The role also includes payroll reconciliations, journal entries, audit support, and close collaboration with HR and other departments to ensure timely and accurate payroll operations.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Manage general ledger accounting and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities within deadlines
  • Responsible for the preparation, validation, and distribution of monthly staff payroll.
  • Calculate statutory benefits, other allowances, and ensure their timely payment.
  • Record payroll-related bank transactions and journal entries in WD.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts related to payroll and taxes to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll-related tax obligations, including monthly, annual, and year-end requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate payroll inputs and processing.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from HR and employees in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing payroll-related and tax documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and internal financial controls related to payroll.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and support efficiency and automation initiatives within payroll operations.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of payroll accuracy, timeliness, and reporting quality.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or fiscal auditing.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in payroll management, tax compliance (including DGI, ONA, and OFATMA filings), and financial reporting.
  • Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Familiarity with Workady and Turbo system is a plus

 

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to conduct fiscal diagnostics, perform variance analysis, data analyst and payroll modeling
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of local tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Professionalism: High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential payroll data.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft formal reports.
  • Language: Fluency in French and professional proficiency in English is required
  • Quick Learner : Quick learner with a strong willingness to learn.
