Job Title: Business Development Executive

 

 

 

Primary objective of the job: 

 

The Business Development Executive – SMB is responsible for working with the Corporate Sales Team and Business Services Team, to grow the business and meet the sales targets for Digicel Business, in the areas of ICT and Mobile. It will involve the business development and implementation of Mobile and ICT solutions across the corporate account base and other suitable customers.

 

The position will involve all aspects from pre and post Mobile and ICT Sales including prospecting, presenting, following up from meetings designing solutions, developing products and signing up customer contracts as well as post-sales workshops. The role will carry a monthly revenue target.

 

           

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Increase sales for the assigned territory by positioning Digicel products and services.
  • Develop and implement the necessary strategies for sales growth.
  • Identify new clients and maintain relationships with assigned clients, through synergies with Digicel teams to expedite pre-sales, post sales and collection process.
  • Ensure profitability of transactions closed, as per Digicel gross margin, other key indicators and company credit policies in conjunction with the pre-sales team.
  • Conduct analysis and classification of clients and identified risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure a consistent approach to growing Digicel customer base, by compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on Digicel target markets and business prospects' profiles.
  • Accurately forecast sales and form sales plan within assigned accounts.
  • Form and develop effective sales strategies to keep Digicel competitive and innovative in the marketplace.
  • Proactively analyze client's needs and recommend solutions that best meet client's requirements.
  • Develop relationships with Trinidad Corporate and Government sales departments to grow Mobile and ICT business in Trinidad.
  • Support the Corporate Sales Team where required for any technical issues relating to sales opportunities.
  • Continuously drive multi-service product sales on multi-year contracts for Business Voice, Mobile, Gateways, Fixed Line, Broadband and TV, Dedicated Internet Access, Hosted PBX and any other Digicel Value Added Services against a defined personal target.
  • Achieve a daily target of six new meetings with Clients to aid in closing and developing a pipeline.
  • Where necessary, be present on customer site visits if required by Technical Department.
  • Daily update of Salesforce for all deals and providing daily reporting as required to the sales manager.
  • Continuously seeks and capitalizes on opportunities to exceed the expectations of customers (internal and external) by placing a keen interest in understanding and effectively resolving customer-impacting issues in a professional and result-oriented manner. Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Tertiary level education in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or Social Science
  • At least one (1) year professional experience in a similar role
  • Experience in and with the mobile telecommunications sector would be considered an asset.
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
