Job Title: Commercial Business Analyst  




The primary objectives of the Commercial Business Analyst are to:

  • Develop end to end dashboard and/or reports with key metrics that describe the performance of the Digicel+ business
  • Create models that project future business performance based on set assumptions, inclusive of budget preparation
  • Perform analysis on customer behaviours/trends that impact business performance and make recommendations regarding same
  • Provide insights into all commercial activities to improve performance


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Continual dashboard development to assess end to end business performance that support key business decisions using both internal and external data sources
  • Document and present findings, projections and recommendations
  • Identify revenue and cost optimization opportunities for implementation
  • Analyze customer segments in the context of upsell/downgrade/churn risk and make recommendations on targeted initiative implementation
  • Anticipate future demands based on customer/technology/operational trends and recommend solutions to meet those needs
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders including but not limited to Product, Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Legal, IT/Technical, Retail and Operations
  • Collaborate with regional teams across the Group on commercial data analyses
  • Ensure all market documents, slides and ad hoc presentations are completed on time and are of the highest quality
  • Understand the impact of pricing, margins and the overall business value of Digicel+ products
  • Understand the end to end workflow for Digicel+ transactions
  • Be always up to date with industry news and emerging technologies and trends
  • Successfully manage competing priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced performance oriented environment




  • Bachelor Degree in IT, Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline
  • Master in Business, Marketing, IT , Finance or Management is an asset
  • 2-5 years’ experience performing similar role / duties
  • Experience in and with the telecommunications sector would be considered a valuable asset
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.


Functional Skills:


  • Ability to write Oracle SQL
  • Working knowledge of Telecommunications and Roaming
  • SAS/SPSS Statistics Skills
  • Dashboard and reporting tool (examples: SSRS, SSAS, Business Objects, Cognos, Microstrategy) Skills
  • Be ambitious, driven and passionate
  • Have polished presentation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Have an adaptive style in being able to communicate often technical ideas in simple terms
  • Have strong organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once
