Job Title: Digital Media Sales Consultant

 

 

 

Primary objective of the job:

 

 

 

The Digital Media Sales Consultant will proactively seek out business opportunities by connecting with their network of existing client base or generating interest among new prospects. He/she will engage all potential clients by understanding their business objectives and presenting relevant marketing strategies.

 

He/she will be expected to make sales visits and presentations to decision makers; negotiate effectively to secure new advertising campaign contracts and achieve monthly sales targets.

 

This position requires the management of all client campaigns and interactions through the implementation of digital and traditional advertising pre and post activities.

 

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Complete annual and quarterly reviews with clients to ensure the calendar of events is well noted to generate business revenue opportunities to exceed sales monthly target
  • Liaise with advertisers monthly to ensure the maximum revenue generating opportunities are achieved. This includes upselling current clients to increase their insertion order monthly value
  • Build a recurring set of revenue to generate at least 60% of sales target for the following month
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of advertising initiatives
  • Manage a key portfolio of clients to generate larger contracts of more than USD$10K deals
  • Action of no less than 15 client meetings per week to ensure the development of a strong pipeline
  • Generate new leads through cold calling, calling on inactive accounts, and maintaining an awareness of new business opportunities
  • Utilize analytics tools to provide actionable insights/results on various client related activities with recommendations for future campaigns
  • Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for advertising development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • On time daily/weekly reporting as per advertisers/internal/Group requirements;
  • Peruse all advertising copy to ensure within Trend’s guidelines
  • Develop, Implement and Launch all mobile advertising campaigns on a timely manner
  • Manage a low debt collections report for clients less than 30 days; this means collecting payments for campaigns within 30 days of receipt of invoice.

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree AND related certification OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record at exceeding monthly, quarterly, or annual sales quotas
  • At least 2 years’ experience performing similar role / duties
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.

 

Functional Skills:

  • Be ambitious, driven and passionate about all things related to sales, advertising and digital marketing, with an excellent comprehension of how the industry works
  • Have polished presentation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Have an adaptive style in being able to communicate often technical ideas in simple terms
  • Have strong organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once

 

Working conditions:

  • Predominantly 8am – 5pm; may be required to work outside the set work hours
  • Office-based with cross-functional collaboration and client/sales engagement
  • Requires interaction with regional group teams and front-line sales leadership
