Job Title: Field Supervisor (6-month Contract)

 

 

Primary objective of the job:

 

Field Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing installation teams and ensuring that works are carried out in a timely manner and to a high standard in line with standard operating procedures and SLAs.

This position is a 6-month contract (in the first instance) with the potential of a month to month renewal. 

 

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Audit, mentor, train and coach teams of Technicians to exceed the standards required when completing installations.
  • Conduct health and safety audits to ensure full compliance with SOPs at all times.
  • Resolve complaints and network faults in a timely and satisfactory manner in line with the SLA.
  • Daily/weekly reporting to PMO and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage stock levels and ensure the team has adequate stock at all times. 
  • Partner with support units across the business to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Continually review and examine work practices to ensure contractor continues to gain greater efficiencies.
  • Any other related duties and tasks as assigned
  • Perform desktop quality compliance checks on installations completed daily
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to all jobs that may be at risk of not being completed on the assigned date and times.
  • Maintain visibility on all rostered jobs and track to completion.
  • Support daily operations call to plan schedule of installations for the upcoming day/week.
  • Support with resolving infield issues encountered by infield technicians or advise of proper procedure to resolve issues encountered.
  • Provide support to internal departments including, B2B, Finance, Support, Network Operations & PMO.
  • Support the maintenance of strong effective relationships with Digicel’s contracting partners

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

 

  • Possesses a valid Trinidad and Tobago Wireman License
  • Possesses a valid driver’s permit.
  • Computer Literate with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Outlook
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in a related role.
  • Ability to read and develop schedules based on demographics, time and priority
  • Work well both independently and as a team player, prioritize the execution of projects and meet deadlines whilst working in a demanding environment
  • Ability to effectively supervise and manage a team of field-based technicians
  • Experience on FTTx projects. Excellent level of understanding on GPON and Out-Side Plant best practices.
  • Have recognized fiber/telecoms/Electrical Installation qualifications.
  • Must be target driven to deliver on SLAs & KPIs set by the Digicel.
  • Must be determined and committed to high quality standards
  • Be able to sufficiently develop reports in order to present to Project Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to travel, work shifts and out of hours On-Call in line with business requirements.
  • Decisive, self – motivated with excellent planning and time management skills
  • Good literacy, numeric and Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times
