Job Title: RF Manager

 

 

Primary objective of the job:

 

The RF Manager is responsible for the Supervision of the team of radio network engineers, opex and capex planning and forecasting for the operation of the radio team and the efficient utilization of the company resources both human and financial.

  

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Focused on strategic planning and development of goals to continuously align the section and Technical department towards company goals and initiatives
  • Ability to manage change effectively throughout the team to support company goals and initiatives
  • Supervise direct reports in the achievement of objectives. Perform DPR for direct reports, and review DPRs of all team members.
  • Focused and fuels team motivation to keep team members productive
  • Develop and execute plans to address any personnel issues, escalating to senior management where necessary.
  • Manage individual development plan for the team. Arrange training courses and provide mentorship.
  • Hold weekly team meetings and one-on-one interim reviews to provide and capture feedback.
  • Works with planning team inputs for the execution of new feature testing, and major RAN expansion projects.
  • Work with group KPI team to review and update KPI list and targets to better monitor subscriber experience.
  • Continuously seeks and capitalizes on opportunities to exceed the expectations of customers (internal and external) by placing a keen interest on understanding and effectively resolving customer-impacting issues in a professional and result-oriented manner.
  • Manage changes to the network for maintenance, repair, expansion, upgrade or service setup as it relates to RAN
  • Ensure adherence by team members to the business processes for Change Control. Ensure procedures are followed to minimize error in work.
  • Site Rollout: Execution of radio plan for new cell site/small cells integrations including management of the process
  • KPI Reporting: Provide RF specific reports and trends to troubleshoot and fix any customer affecting issues
  • Radio Optimization: Manages routines and optimization strategy to improve network performance
  • Business Reporting: Capex and Opex planning and tracking

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree AND related certification OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4-6 years’ experience performing similar role / duties.
  • Experience in and with the mobile telecommunications sector would be considered a valuable asset.
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
  • Master’s Degree in Technology Engineering will be an asset.
