Job Title: Senior Retail Associate

 

 

Primary objective of the job: 

           

The Senior Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of daily cash transactions, managing inventory of SIM cards and devices, and supporting overall retail operations. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity and providing exceptional service to both consumer and corporate customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

 

           

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Complete the daily cash reconciliation for Sales Associates.

 

  • Manage the daily cash receipts from Sales Associates.
  • Manage the cash floats for Sales Associates.
  • Prepare the daily cash deposit for collection.
  • Prepare cheques for daily deposit.
  • Complete the daily finance reconciliation.
  • Manage repairs submission, collection and tracking.
  • Manage the daily distribution of SIMs and devices to Sales Associates.
  • Receive and enter SIM and device stock into the POS system.
  • Complete the monthly stock count with the consignment vendor.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly stock count.
  • Complete bill payment transactions.
  • Complete sales transactions for all Digicel’s products and services.
  • Assist customers, both consumer and corporate, with billing queries, account change requests and SIM replacements.
  • Meet and interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner maintaining the Digicel Brand.

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Minimum of five (5) O’level passes (including Math and English) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience performing similar role / duties.
  • Experience in and with the mobile telecommunications sector would be considered an asset.
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.

 

 

 

Functional Skills:

 

  • Cash Handling & Reconciliation: Proven ability to accurately manage cash floats, process daily cash receipts and deposits, and meticulously reconcile daily sales and finance transactions.

 

  • Inventory Management & POS Operations: Experience in receiving, tracking, and distributing stock (SIMs and devices), performing accurate stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly, and with vendors), and proficiently entering data into a Point-of-Sale (POS) system and proficiency using Microsoft Excel.

 

  • Customer Service & Issue Resolution: Skilled in assisting customers with diverse inquiries, including billing questions, account changes, and SIM replacements, demonstrating strong problem-solving and communication abilities in a retail environment.
