Job Title

Field Force Technician

 

 

 

Primary objective of the job: 

Serve as the driving force behind the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of Digicel’s critical infrastructure. Ensure network and technology assets are fully operational, efficiently deployed, and consistently delivering peak performance in the field.

 

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the deployment of network infrastructure and technology assets, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality installations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of network equipment to ensure continuous and reliable operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network expansion projects, enhancing coverage and capacity in line with customer demand.
  • Uphold rigorous quality and safety standards in all field operations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of field activities, including installation reports, maintenance logs, and inspection records.
  • Provide technical input and support during the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of deployed assets to maximize service availability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Digicel’s operational procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

 

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in field operations, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven expertise in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and associated technologies.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and field-related equipment (e.g., base stations, antennas).
  • Demonstrated adherence to safety practices in field environments.
