Manage and coordinate the overall activities of the Network Switching, IP, Mobile Packet core, Transmission, RF and Cable HFC, FTTH network ensuring a high quality of service. Manage communication and support the Hub and Technical support centre functional areas.  Oversee budget & spend for the various nodes & operation of above responsibilities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations for Digicel Turks & Caicos Mobile and Cable/FTTH networks to ensure optimal quality of service 
  • Liaise with Digicel Hub and Technical Support Centre on all related requirements and functions. 
  • Prepare Technical Capex & Opex Budgets with COM & ensure adherence monthly 
  • Liaise with all vendors including Ericsson, Cisco, Columbus, Sandvine and O&M teams, Customer Care, Technical Support and external maintenance contractors on ongoing network activities to ensure optimal performance of the network 
  • Be main point of contact for all network escalations 
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure that all Customer Service Requests and tickets raised are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner according to contractual agreement 
  • Manage direct reports for Mobile and Cable/FTTH technical operations 
  • Assessment & approval of direct reports 
  • Provide extended support to staff beyond normal duty

Qualifications:

  • BSc. Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field 
  • AnMBA or post graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field would be an asset 
  • 5 yrs experience in the Telecommunication Industry 
  • 3 - 5years experience in Management role 
  • Good working knowledge of Radio, Transmission, BSC & MSC, IP, Cable HFC, FTTH elements& GSM and Mobile data networks 
  • Good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent management skills 
  • Excellent Communication Skills 
  • Good interpersonal skill
