JOB OVERVIEW
Job Title: Direct Sales Agent
Department: Consumer Sales
Reports to: Sales Manager
Location: Carriacou
JOB RESPONSIBILTY
Promote and sell Digicel’s consumer products and services, including Digicel + products and services, prepaid and postpaid plans, SIM cards, top-ups, mobile data, and other value-added mobile services. This is a sales-driven, customer-focused and results-oriented role that is crucial for revenue and business growth.
MAIN DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS
- Actively promote and sell Digicel’s consumer products and services, including mobile and Digicel + products and services (Internet and TV) and mobile products and services (Prepaid and postpaid).
- Engage in door-to-door sales, street promotions, community events, and sales activations.
- Identify potential customers, generate leads, and follow up on sales inquiries.
- Work towards and achieve assigned sales targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Maintain a strong brand presence by representing Digicel professionally in all interactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries, resolving basic issues, and guiding customers on product usage.
- Report on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to the Sales Manager/Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including cash and stock handling procedures.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of three (3) CXC/ CSEC subjects, including English Language and a numerical subject (Accounts, Mathematics, or Physics), or equivalent qualification additional sales training or certifications is an advantage.
- Experience in direct sales, retail sales, or field marketing is preferred but not required.
SKILLS/COMPENTENCIES REQUIRED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a persuasive approach.
- Sales-driven with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of telecom products and services, and applications.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, and in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to handle rejection positively.
- Strong ability to connect with diverse customers and build relationships.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Although working hours are 9 to 5 Monday to Friday, the role may entail working outside of these hours and the candidate should be flexible to meet critical deadlines.
