Job Overview

 

  • To promote and effectively communicate Digicel’s propositions in the North-West Indies Region as set out in the marketing plans taking full account of the competitive marketplace.
  • To support efforts in ensuring the company’s positive image in all marketing communications, including but not limited to advertising, public relations, collateral development and event management/execution.
  • Determine the business requirements relating to acquisition, retention, and customer satisfaction.
  • To develop and implement activity to assist to drive and maintain the Consumer (Mobile & Digicel+) and Business customer base and drive net new activations.
  • Efficient professional management and development of marketing execution.
  • Timely execution of all agreed commercial initiatives which underpin the marketing strategy.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop local marketing strategy by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in supply and demand, identifying customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring the competition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing strategy aligns with the overall business objectives.
  • Development of marketing plans and programs for each product.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for all related products or services, to increase sales and profitability. 
  • Achieves financial objectives via preparation of annual advertising and promotion budgets, scheduling and managing expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintain oversight of cluster marketing initiatives i.e. Anguilla, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, Antigua & Barbuda via daily collaboration with market leads, offering hands-on support where necessary.
  • Manager performance of market leads (Marketing Executives) across NWIR, via quarterly reviews of performance objectives.
  • Work with Digital Media team to drive awareness via a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels focused on content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis Deploying successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution.
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals.
  • Liaise with the CEO/ General Manager and Commerical Director/Manager to conduct bi-annual and adhoc research in an effort to gain real customer insights that are actionable and can positively impact financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with advertising and PR agencies in addition to key stakeholders in the private/public sectors and communities.
  • Managing of the creative process with advertising agencies from brief and concept development right through to delivery to market directed by the Group CMO and Country CEO.
  • Ensure that all communications have been approved through the appropriate marketing governance process of being signed off by the Regional Marketing Manager/Head of Marketing, Creative Director and Cluster (NWIR) SMT.
  • Liaise closely with the Graphic Designer to ensure that artwork is supplied for output at local print agencies within the agreed timeframes.
  • Manager the local PR function to ensure that a positive image of Digicel is maintained and maximized Issue press releases to local journalists and coordinate the execution of press conferences in conjunction with the Group PR Manager.
  • Any other duties within the scope of the job as periodically assigned by the CEO/ General Manager & Commercial Director.

Academic qualifications and experience required for job: (Minimum)

  • Professional candidate with 5+ years’ experience
  • Degree in Marketing will be considered an asset
  • Experience in developing and managing marketing propositions for specific target markets
  • Experience of working on cross-functional teams in a dynamic marketplace
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong motivational, influencing and team building skills
  • Fun, Energetic and creative

Specialized knowledge, skills and training Required: (Minimum)

  • PC proficiency in MS Office Suite of Products
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are an absolute fundamental for success in this role
