J o b o v e r v i e w
Responsible for managing the distribution and vendor channels in Antigua and Barbuda and ensure that handset stock levels are maintained as per business requirements. Ensuring that Digicel takes maximum share of wallet within top-up sales in the Vendor Channel.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Daily evaluation of top-up and handset sales performance reports to include performance analysis, trends, etc.
- Monitor and address adverse impact on daily sales performance (handset sales, top-up rates, average revenue per vendor, stock out levels, etc)
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of products and services.
- Provide forecasting of handsets and sim stock volumes in order to manage sales resources and planning with IT Logistics and Sim Production Vendor.
- Serve as the key point of contact for top-up vendor(s), maintaining and developing relationships with existing vendors in person, via telephone and in email
- Communicate openly and provide regular updates with key stakeholders, core team members, peers and managers regarding Order and Shipping processes and availability of models and vendor prices based on Device Handset Pricebook set by Group Procurement.
- Develop and maintain methods & procedures associated with end-to-end inventory management process for market with Handset and Sim Vendors.
- Perform continuous evaluation of the market and Vendor channel to make sure that we have the right handsets and sim quantities to meet end user needs and demands, making recommendations for re-orders, consolidations and returns.
- Recommend and forecast quantities and allocations of handsets and Accessories based on upcoming promotions.
- Work with Group and local Retail/commercial and Marketing team on inventory planning, inventory flow requirements and contingency planning.
- Create and maintain replenishment processes for handsets and Sims that effectively allocate the best-selling product pertinent to each stores/channel.
- Complete monthly reports for Finance (Valuation Report, EPIN report, Mobile Forecast Portal, Handset Forecast Intake Sheet, Commission file and Invoice for off-site Kiosk)
- Manage off-site Kiosk; ensure that deposits are picked up by Security and Deposits are made to the bank and reports are submitted to Receivables.
- Work closely with finance to have Vendor PO’s processed in a timely manner.
- Managing the returns/repairs department and process - work with Customer Care and Repair Centre to stay within budgetary and operational guidelines and costs.
- Develop and implement sales plans for key vendor partners ensuring Digicel has maximum share of wallet.
- Manage and process Vendor Sim request via relevant POS.
- Maintain the relationship between Digicel and main Distributor and ensure that they have the necessary paraphernalia to keep Vendor Channel Branded and serviced.
- Process Internal Vendor request for Sims and Credit as well as maintaining Store PC account via EPIN and test accounts.
- Complete testing with IT logistics and the Inswitch team when necessary.
- Acquire new business for and brainstorm strategies to maintain the Vendor Channel for Sim and Recharge points.
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
- Degree in Business or Marketing related fields or equivalent work experience (5 years)
- Strong verbal, presentation, communication and analytical skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint;)
- Ability to work with the relevant stalk holders
