Primary objective of the job:
The Group Postpaid Commercial Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, revenue growth, and profitability across 25 markets. This role provides strategic leadership with a focus on commission design, subsidy optimization, and seasonal campaign execution. The manager plays a critical role in guiding Sales & Distribution (S&D) teams, leveraging data insights via Power BI, and ensuring flawless execution of Commercial strategies through close collaboration with Group GTM, local Commercial teams, and key stakeholders.
In addition to delivering data-driven recovery and growth plans, the role requires strong executive presentation skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex commercial data into actionable business strategies. Success in this role is measured by market performance, efficiency, and the ability to drive commercial discipline and momentum across all Postpaid markets.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Postpaid Guidance
- Innovate and deploy comprehensive Postpaid and converged strategies, supporting alignment across markets, consistent execution, and clear visibility of performance through structured reporting
- Lead market-specific plans for commission structures and device subsidy models, continuously optimizing based on subscriber and revenue performance
Recovery Action Planning
- Identify underperforming markets or segments through deep-dive Commercial performance reviews. Deploy tailored recovery plans in partnership with local teams
- Track progress and impact, and cascade winning strategies to other markets. Coordinate group resources where necessary to tackle challenges and accelerate problem resolution
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Deliver high-quality, board-ready presentations of performance updates, commercial strategies, and market insights, ensuring clarity, impact, and executive alignment
- Represent the Postpaid team in strategic reviews, steering committees and workstreams
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with GTM, S&D, BI, Marketing & Finance to enable fast, aligned decision-making
Seasonal Campaign Planning
- Lead the planning and execution of the Postpaid campaign calendar, aligned to peak sales periods and commercial goals
- Track and report campaign outcomes, using insights to refine future initiatives and increase campaign ROI
Market Support & E2E Playbook Execution
- Actively support and integrate with local Commercial teams across key Postpaid markets and champion the adoption of the end-to-end Postpaid Playbook
- Lead the S&D Postpaid activation process, from concept development and stakeholder alignment to commercial launch, ensuring a fast, simple, and seamless customer journey. Drive continuous enhancements to facilitate an improved POS sale experience
- Maintain a regular cadence of at least three meetings per week with each assigned market, acting as an extension of the local Commercial team to support and accelerate performance delivery
BI-Led Commercial Intelligence
- Leverage Power BI dashboards and other reporting tools (Tableau, think-cell) to monitor Postpaid performance, identify trends, and guide decision-making
- Deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders, turning data into clear performance narratives and commercial actions
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- 3 – 5 years in telecommunications with a focus on commercial management
- Proven success in Sales & Distribution performance management
- Strong experience in commercial strategy/frameworks and execution, portfolio management, pricing strategies, customer value management and telco growth
- Proficient in Power BI and other commercial performance tools
- Excellent executive presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Hands-on experience driving cross-market performance in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
Functional Skills:
- Strong commercial acumen with broad experience across strategy and performance management
- Proven ability to lead business activation initiatives, including Sales & Distribution (S&D)
- Skilled in developing and executing strategic plans to drive measurable results
- Expertise in producing high-quality, board-ready presentations and executive reports
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel)
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levels
