Primary objective of the job:

 

The Manager, Marketing Operations is primarily responsible for the day-to-day execution of all marketing campaigns and monitors individual project budget spend reporting to the budget owner (Head of Marketing). The Manager is also required to maintain the project plan that encompasses all marketing activities as well as analyse and report on campaign success.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Manages all aspects of marketing operations
  • Participates in the development of marketing strategy and resultant marketing plans and KPIs
  • Maintains a full marketing calendar, covering promotions, sponsorship and events
  • Establishes and manages day-to-day work schedules and assigns marketing resources to support key activities.
  • Manages service delivery by developing and monitoring work process flows, establishing and enforcing standards, as well as recommending and sourcing training for marketing resources.
  • Ensures activities have measurable targets, provides dashboard templates for measurement and comparison, analyses data and trends and tracks department and business KPIs to inform corrective actions and performance/service delivery improvements for the team
  • Keeps management informed by preparing reports, presentations, interpreting information, and making recommendations.
  • Manages and enhances relationships with vendors to deliver marketing materials and assets to internal and external clients.
  • Negotiates contracts for advertising, marketing, and promotions.
  • Monitors individual project budget spend reporting to the budget owner (Head of Marketing).
  • Responsible for reporting on the overall budget monthly or as needed with additional responsibility for proactively identifying savings opportunities or areas of overspend.
  • Works with management team to build the Digicel brand, internally and externally.
  • Performs any other job-related duties that may periodically be assigned.

 

Academic qualifications and experience required for job:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent
  • 2-3 years’ experience in marketing planning with evidence of delivering effective marketing strategies and programmes

 

Functional skills:

 

  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of KPI management, measurement and reporting.
  • Proficient in creating and tracking budgets
  • Excellent written and communications skills
  • Creativity and willingness to work as part of a team and on own initiative in an ever changing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in order to meet challenging deadlines
  • Strong project management and organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Can do attitude and upbeat, positive and dynamic personality
  • Ability to manage people
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications
  • Ability to grasp new technology/applications quickly
  • Strong customer service orientation and relationship-management skills
