Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Manage all aspects of cash application and payment processing operations.
  • Overseeing the reconciliation of receipts with open accounts receivable transactions.
  • Collaborating with clients and financial institutions to address and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Facilitate the creation and attainment of KPI objectives, ensure timely cash application, and minimise unapplied cash.
  • Lead, inspire, and cultivate the growth of team members.
  • Manage the prompt and high-quality delivery of reports to all stakeholders
  • Perform daily reconciliation of customer payments received via the stores versus bank statement and flag issues within 24 hours
  • Review monthly aging of WorkDay AR balances and investigate unexplained aging amounts
  • Perform monthly TPS reconciliation
  • Perform SL versus GL monthly reconciliation
  • Cash Application KPI tracking and Reporting
  • Provide all Cash Applications internal and audit schedules
  • Daily bank balances report to Finance
  • Supervision of Cash Application Analyst
  • Support with customer payment postings when required
  • Monitor payment processing inbox and escalate major failures to Market IT

 

Academic qualifications and experience required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or any other related field
  • Three - Four (3-4) years of relevant working experience
  • Previous relevant cash applications experience (preferably in BPM/services industry) is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the billing process
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and MS products, such as Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
