Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning – developing consumer insight to drive marketing planning. Contribute to the management team’s strategic planning
- Product Communication – Devise plans to communicate the breath of range of the product portfolio
- Point-Of-Sale – ideation, in-market implementation, evaluation approval, material development
- Promotions/Sponsorship – negotiations with larger sponsorship properties, or handset principals, ideation as to exploitation, supervision of field execution of initiatives.
- Media – Planning, buying and evaluation of all media to gain breakthrough effectiveness while achieving commercial efficiency
- Communication – Approve activities of PR, design and advertising agencies in relation to activities about the brand’s look, sound and feel in the press, other print media and on the electronic media including internet.
- Budget management – in an environment of shifting priorities, this role needs to effectively plan and allocate resources to drive different elements of the marketing mix while staying within budget. An annual budget is done at the start of the year and is monitored monthly.
- People Management – Manage and co-ordinate activities and take full responsibility for the management and development of the marketing team across Aruba, Bonaire & Curacao.
- Market Analysis/Forecasting/Marketing Mapping – identify psychographics of market segments; determine target segments and how to communicate with the identified segments.
Minimum Experience/Qualifications:
At least 8 years marketing experience at management level with a significant track record in brand management, equity building and campaign development.
· Knowledge of international brands or overseas work experience
· Management of agencies and research companies
· Knowledge of key local media owners/editors.
· A track record in strategic thinking and planning – translated into action through demonstrated leadership capabilities.
· A proven commercial awareness with regard to revenue generation and cost reduction
· Well developed interpersonal and negotiating skills
· Financial planning and budget management experience
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence people at all levels internal and external to the organisation
· Sense of ownership and responsibility with a proven track record of working on own initiative as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
· Clear thinking and clear communication skills
Functional Skills
· PC Business suite of products.
· Oral and written presentation skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
Must be proficient in 2 of the following languages – Papiamento, Dutch, English
